Melinda Kelley, Allied Member ASID

Vice President, Interior Designer, Accounting

Melinda Kelley holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from the University of Tennessee and an Associate of Science in Interior Design (with Bachelor of Science coursework) from Pellissippi State Community College/East Tennessee State University. As an accountant, Melinda spent much of her career analyzing “expected vs. actual” manufacturing costs in order to evaluate production efficiency and establish selling price in the marketplace. She also owned a children’s clothing retail business. This experience gave her an opportunity to use most of the skills of her business degree: inventory control, merchandising, advertising, and sales.

At SK Ballard Contract Interiors, Melinda uses both of her education backgrounds to contribute to the design and business aspects of company projects. She is involved in FF&E research and selections, submittal and presentation layouts, invoicing and follow-up for procurement services, and all other accounting functions.
